Healthcare Practice Lead

Responsibility for selling, delivering and growing a consulting practice across all major areas of the Healthcare industry.

Key Responsibilities for this position include:

Business Development
The ThotWave Healthcare Consulting Practice Lead will hold primary responsibility for sales. In addition, they will have responsibility for the cultivation and management of the Healthcare sales pipeline, through the identification of suitable opportunities and monitoring demand trends across our offerings.

They will also have accountability for driving and building a high performance team in ThotWave to maximize sales of ThotWave's offerings across the Healthcare industry.

Client Account Leadership
Accountability for all aspects of the ThotWave relationship with the client: overall sales and revenue/margin growth and financial contribution, quality of services, and value delivery. Focus on bringing the best of ThotWave to the client: building the right mix and combination of people and capabilities, and understanding client challenges and opportunities where we can add value through our services/offerings.

The Healthcare Practice Lead must be well networked in the Healthcare industry. As an industry leader it is expected that the Healthcare Practice Lead will speak at 1 to 3 conferences each year and strive for visibility "in print".

Client Service Delivery
Accountability for all aspects of successful delivery to maximize outcomes and value to clients and profitability to ThotWave including: resourcing and balancing skills and capabilities consistent with delivery goals and economics, management of our people, extending opportunities within the client, identifying new sales opportunities, and supporting sales activities.

Innovation & Capability Development
Accountability for working with the ThotWave team in the development and commercialization of assets and offerings as well as growing the capabilities of our people across functional, technical and industry domains. This will also come in the form of direct recruiting of other Healthcare industry experts. Responsible for leveraging capability expertise across multiple clients and architecting solutions around domain offerings. Drive sales, service delivery and business development for offerings. Gain internal and external market recognition.

Operations
Accountability for all aspects of successful Healthcare operations including: sourcing and supplying capability consistent with demand and economics, management of the personnel in the entity, supporting client opportunities and sales, and managing all strategic and day-to-day operations of the entity, segment or function. Accountability for the strategic planning and day to day operations of ThotWave's service delivery model to the Healthcare industry.

Management
The Healthcare Practice Lead is responsible for keeping the ThotWave management team aligned with the Healthcare Consulting Practice. This includes establishing individual's sales targets, client targets, career evolution and overall success, etc. The Healthcare Practice lead must be a leader of these people and is a critical success factor. In the role of People Developer the Healthcare Practice lead is expected to act as a mentor and leader, cultivating and developing the next generation of management.

Qualifications

Business and Functional Expertise within Healthcare:

  • Healthcare business applications and solutions expertise
  • Extensive Healthcare business domain expertise
  • Use of advanced analytics with healthcare data
  • Performance management for clinical outcomes and healthcare administration
  • Business Intelligence
  • Datawarehousing
  • Broad experience with Providers and Payers

Vendor Application Experience

  • Familiarity with major Hospital IT systems (EMR, Imaging, Lab, Pharmacy, Supply Chain, Finance)
  • (SAS, R, S-Plus for analytic applications
  • Cognos, Business Objects, Precision BI for Business Intelligence apps
  • Other BI vendors

Other Experience

10+ years experience in Healthcare related sales and execution in:

  • Consulting
  • Systems Integration

Required Education

  • BS in Business Administration, Health Care Information Management, Information Technology or a related field
  • Master's degree is desired but not required

SAS Consultant

You may have a background in marketing analytics, user support, training or ETL programming – regardless, you will be someone who can hit the ground running and adapt quickly to new environments.

Java Developer

ThotWave Technologies has a full-time opportunity for a skilled Java Developer to deliver high quality Java web applications and Business Intelligence solutions. Solutions will be created for ThotWave customers using standard Enterprise Java technologies, quality open source components, and off-the-shelf BI tools. The ideal candidate will be visually-oriented, with a passion for creating excellent user interfaces.

For consideration, candidates must possess or demonstrate the following:

  • 5 + years of Java and web development experience
  • Experience with servlet, JSP, HTML/XHTML, and JavaScript development
  • Experience with relational databases, SQL, and JDBC
  • Ability to think analytically with demonstrated solution definition skills
  • Impeccable interpersonal communication skills (both written and verbal)
  • Ability and motivation to work on a team, maintain customer focus and attention to detail
  • Consultative attitude and a professional demeanor
  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 33% within the US
